Who we are
Dental Works (“we”, “us”) is a private dental practice at 151 Grafton Gate, Central Milton Keynes, MK9 1AE. We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. You can contact us about privacy at reception@dental-works.co.uk or on 01908 696 131.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number (if given) and the content of your message when you use our contact form.
- Membership plan: your name, email address and phone number when you join, plus your membership status and payment history. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and are never seen or stored by us.
- Waitlist: your name, email address, phone number and any notes you add.
- Technical information: our servers keep short-term logs for security. To prevent abuse of our forms we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address, not the address itself.
Please don't send detailed medical information through the website. We'll discuss your health in person.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, which is in our legitimate interests and yours.
- To set up and run your membership, take monthly payments and send you account emails such as your welcome email, payment problems and cancellation confirmations. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
- To contact you when a membership place becomes available, if you've joined the waitlist.
- To keep financial records we are legally required to hold.
We don't use your information for marketing without your permission, and we never sell it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to two years after our last contact, unless you become a patient.
- Membership records: for as long as you're a member, then for six years to meet accounting rules.
- Waitlist entries: until you join the plan or ask to be removed.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
