I attended King's College London where I gained my undergraduate BDS qualification in 2012. Following this, I completed one year of foundation training in Milton Keynes which allowed me to make the transition from hospital dentistry to general dentistry. I have also recently gained the Diploma for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, MJDF RCS(Eng).

While I am yet to choose a speciality which I would like to pursue, I regularly attend courses to ensure I am up to date with the latest theories and technologies. I believe in providing high-quality dentistry while remaining fair and ethical. I feel I achieve this by listening to the needs and expectations of my patients and allowing them to consider all options so no decision is made in haste or under pressure.

Becoming a part of the Dental Works team has allowed me to offer a wider range of treatments for a variety of needs. Outside dentistry, I enjoy attending film and music festivals, as well as comedy shows and musicals.

I gained my dental degree from The University of Leeds in 2018 and joined the team at Dental Works in 2019. My passion in healthcare follows a very simple motto: "Give patients confidence". Confidence in the profession, confidence in me, and more importantly confidence in themselves.

Since graduating, I completed a year-long programme in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry, and I currently teach other dentists on the use of composite to restore back teeth as well as aesthetic composite bonding. I am a gold certified Invisalign provider and love taking patients through their journey to restore form, function and aesthetics to help them achieve their dream smile.

I also undertook facial aesthetic training at the Avanti Aesthetics training academy in Harley Street and enjoy providing injectable aesthetic treatments for my patients, including anti-wrinkle treatments, dermal fillers and skin boosters.

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. My name is Sulakshan Jayatharan, also known as 'Jay' to my patients. I gained my undergraduate BDS qualification from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2016, and have since worked as an associate dentist in London and Kent.

I enjoy taking the time to put nervous patients at ease with my calm and compassionate demeanour, and I value communicating dental advice and treatment to patients in a way that they fully understand. My clinical interests include restorative and cosmetic dentistry. As an Invisalign provider I pride myself in using one of the world's leading clear aligner systems to provide smile transformations that are predictable and comfortable (I have used it on myself!). I have completed a postgraduate course in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry and am passionate about transforming smiles.

My interests outside of work lie in music, football and travelling. I enjoy playing badminton and going to the gym in my free time.
